Square 1 Pilates is devoted to teaching the Authentic Method of Joseph Pilates. Authentic means we incorporate the original apparatus and classical order as designed by Mr. Pilates. It is not a hybrid, adaptation or contemporary twist to the method. Krisna Hanks and Robert Surenbroek, the owners, have both been teaching respectively for more than twenty years. They are comprehensively certified by Power Pilates and Romana’s Pilates. The studio offers private sessions in person and virtually. Pilates builds stretch and strength with control. It is designed for every age and level of fitness. Authentic Pilates is a total body workout that aligns and enhances body posture, corrects imbalances and improves performance in life and sport.

We offer modern Reformer Pilates classes in a fun, inclusive, and encouraging studio environment designed for all fitness levels. Our Central Tucson Pilates studio features ample free parking in a large lot right in front of the studio, making it easy to stop in before or after work. We’re conveniently located near grocery stores and coffee shops. Our class schedule runs as early as 6:00am and as late as 7:30pm on our longest days, giving you flexible options to fit Pilates into your routine.
